Project Overview
Hospitality / Commercial
Rock Building Services Group were appointed to deliver the full mechanical and electrical installation for a new restaurant unit within the Orchard Centre, Didcot.
The project involved transforming an empty retail shell into a fully operational, high-end hospitality venue. Our works were integral to the success of the fit-out, requiring close coordination with the client, designers, and other contractors to ensure the building services aligned with the overall vision, programme, and regulatory requirements.

Project Challenges
The project was delivered to a tight programme driven by the restaurant’s planned opening date. Working within a busy retail environment also required careful coordination with other trades and neighbouring units. In addition, strict compliance with hospitality regulations, particularly around kitchen ventilation and environmental comfort, was critical.
Our Solution
We engaged early with the client and fit-out team to develop a coordinated installation programme. Our engineers worked flexibly alongside other trades, with proactive planning and phased commissioning ensuring all systems were fully operational ahead of handover.
